فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٖ سَمِينٖ

Transliteration:( Faraagha ilaaa ahlihee fajaaa'a bi'ijlin sameen )

26.Then he went to his family and brought a fat [28] calf (roasted). (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

"Then he went to his family and brought a fat[28] calf (roasted)."

✅ [28] The Offering to the Guests

  • Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) went to his household and brought a fat calf, which was roasted for the guests.

  • This act of hospitality demonstrates Ibrahim’s generosity and respect for guests, even though he did not know them.

  • The offering of a roasted calf was a significant gesture of respect, indicating how important hospitality and honor for guests were in the traditions of the prophets.

24. That is, he did not tell his guests that he was going to arrange food for them, but after they were seated he went quietly into the house to arrange a feast for them, so that the guests should not refuse it out of formality.

25. In Surah Hood, the words are ijlin hanidh, a roasted calf; here bi-ijlin samin: a fatted calf that he got roasted.
