Transliteration:( Fa akhrajnaa man kaana feehaa minal mu'mineen )
35. Then We brought [36] forth there from those who were faithful [37].
When the punishment descended upon Sodom, Prophet Lut (Peace be upon him) and his followers, the faithful, were saved and brought out of the city.
This emphasizes that Allah's mercy protects the righteous before the punishment befalls a sinful community.
The verse illustrates that Allah does not send His punishment to a place where the righteous are still present.
Once the faithful are removed, the punishment for the sinful becomes inevitable. Allah ensures the safety of His pious servants before punishing the wicked, as mentioned in Surah Al-Fath (48:25).

33. As to what happened between them and the people of the Prophet Lot (peace be upon him) when the angels reached his house after their meeting with the Prophet Abraham (peace be upon them), has been left out. The details have been given in the Surahs Hood, Al-Hijr and Al Ankabut. Here mention is being made only of the time when they were going to be visited by the scourge.
