وَفِي عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلۡعَقِيمَ

Transliteration:( Wa fee 'Aadin iz arsalnaa 'alaihimur reehal'aqeem )

41.And for the Aad too, We sent to them a dry [46] windstorm. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

(41) And in ʿAad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.[1544] (Saheen International Translation)

41. And for the Aad too, We sent to them a dry [46] windstorm.

[46] The Destructive Wind of Aad

  • The verse refers to the windstorm sent to the people of Aad, a dry and destructive wind that brought devastation upon them.

  • The word "Reeh" is used here to describe the destructive nature of the wind that Allah sent as a punishment for their disobedience.
