Transliteration:( Qul man zal lazee ya'simukum minal laahi in araada bikum sooo'an aw araada bikum rahmah; wa laa yajidoona lahum min doonil laahi waliyyanw wa laa naseeraa )
"Please declare: 'Who is he that can save you against the Command of Allah, if it be His wish to do you harm, or show His Mercy' [37]. And they shall neither find for themselves any supporter nor any helper [38] besides Allah."
Here, "harm" refers to death or being slain, which the hypocrites and cowards find detestable, while "mercy" refers to life and safety, which they desire. However, for a true believer, even martyrdom is mercy, and cowardly survival is a punishment. The verse underscores that none can avert Allah’s decree—neither harm nor benefit is within the power of creation.
This verse conveys several key lessons:
Death is inevitable, and running away from the battlefield cannot delay or prevent it.
Fleeing from trials and abandoning the duty of Jihad only brings humiliation, not salvation.
One who forsakes the Creator and seeks protection in creation is truly foolish. In contrast, forsaking all others for the sake of the Creator leads to true success.
Ultimately, if Allah wills punishment, no helper or supporter can save a person—not even armies or alliances. Conversely, if Allah wills mercy, no force can block it.
Hence, trust and reliance must be solely placed in Allah and His chosen servants, whose assistance is truly a manifestation of Divine help.
