Transliteration:( Yawma tuqallabu wujoohuhum fin Naari yaqooloona yaa laitanaaa ata'nal laaha wa ata'nar Rasoolaa )
"The day that their faces shall be turned in the fire, they will say: 'O would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger [189]'. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)"
Two key points emerge from this verse:
All disbelievers will suffer immense regret and humiliation in the Hereafter. Their expressions of remorse will come only after they are cast into the Fire, when it is far too late to change their fate.
Their regret will be of no benefit, because the opportunity for repentance is only in this world. Just as planting a seed out of season yields no fruit, repentance after death bears no reward.
This verse serves as a stark reminder that obedience to Allah and His Messenger must occur before the Hour arrives, for once the punishment begins, remorse is meaningless.
