    📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Anbiya – Verse 8

    "And We made them not mere bodies that they may not eat food [14] and nor live in the world forever [15]." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    ✅ [14] Prophets Were Human and Ate Food

    This verse responds to the baseless objections of the disbelievers, who said: "If the Prophet is truly sent by Allah, why does he eat and drink like us?"

    The answer is that all previous Prophets were human beings, and they too ate food and lived normal lives.

    Just as the Qur’an has outward words and hidden meanings, the Prophet ﷺ had a human form visible to all, but his unique spiritual rank was hidden from the disbelievers.

    The companions recognized both his outward and inward excellence, while the disbelievers only saw his external form.

    ✅ [15] Mortality Does Not Negate Prophethood

    Every creation must taste death. Being subject to death does not contradict prophethood—whether that death has occurred or is yet to come.

    Even Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him), who is alive now, will also experience death in the future.

    Thus, death is not a flaw, and does not reduce the spiritual status of any Prophet.

    [873]- Like the angels. Rather, they were human beings with human attributes.
