Transliteration:( Wa Qaaroona wa Fir'awna wa haamaana wa laqad jaaa'ahum Moosa bilbaiyinaati fastakbaroo fil ardi wa maa kaanoo saabiqeen )
94. This tells us that the infidelity of a person who rejects one aspect of religion is equal to a person who rejects every aspect of religion. Here Allah Almighty has mentioned Qaroon, who had only rejected Zakast, with Hamaan and Pharoah who had rejected all religious injunctions i.e. Tauheed (Oneness of Allah Almighty).Â
Prophethood, etc. Therefore, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (May Allah be pleased with him) declared war on those who had rejected the institution of Zakat and pardoned them after they had repented. He had declared war on Musailama the Liar, and his followers because they had become apostates by accepting Musailama as a prophet.
95. Here, the mention of Qaroon is preceded because he was of noble descent and a relative of Hazrat Moosa (On whom be peace).Â
From this, we learn that genealogical and family respect will not be able to save a person from punishment if their deeds are not good. The purpose of this was to explain to the Quraish that does not be proud of being the descendants of Hazrat Ebrahim (On whom be peace), if they want salvation, then accept Islam,
96. Hamaan and Pharoah did this by rejecting faith, and Qaroon by rejecting the payment of Zakat. Thus, there is no inconsistency in the verse.
97. This means He seized everyone from the infidel nations. Here not only these above-mentioned three are meant. As can be understood from the following verse.Â

(29:39) And We destroyed Qarun (Korah) and Pharaoh and Haman. Moses came to them with Clear Signs but they waxed arrogant in the land although they could not have outstripped[67] (Us).
67. That is, “They could not have gotten away and escaped Allah’s grasp: they had no power to frustrate and defeat Allah’s plans and schemes.”
