Transliteration:( Falammaa 'ataw 'ammaa nuhoo 'anhu qulna lahum koonoo qiradatan khaasi'een )
Then, when they defied the command they had been given, We said to them: "Be you apes, despised" [379].
This verse refers to the divine punishment where the wrongdoers were transformed into apes. However, only their outward appearance became like monkeys, while their bodies, human faculties, and souls remained intact. Thus, this event does not support the Aryan or reincarnation theory, which requires a change in both body and soul—something Islam rejects, as the soul's transformation is impossible. This incident is similar to other divine miracles, such as Hazrat Musa’s (on whom be peace) staff turning into a snake, or the transformation of some into swine, showing the power of Allah, not soul migration.
