Transliteration:( Wa in tad'oohum ilalhudaa laa yattabi'ookum; sawaaa'un 'alaikum a-da'awtumoohum 'am antum saamitoon )
And if you call them towards guidance, they will not follow you. It is the same for you whether you invite them or remain silent [446].
This verse emphasizes that idols are utterly unresponsive—no matter how much one calls upon them, they cannot follow, speak, move, or comprehend. They lack even the basic faculties of hearing, walking, or understanding. Hence, whether you invite them or stay silent, it makes no difference—their inability to respond is absolute.
This serves as a stark contrast to Allah Almighty, who is All-Powerful, even though He is unseen. His existence and power are manifest through the signs in His creation, while these lifeless objects, though visible, possess no power or worthiness for worship.

147. As to the false gods set up by the polytheists, what is the extent of their power? Not only, do they not have the power to guide others, they do not even have the power to follow others or even to answer the call of their devotees.
