Transliteration:( Yaa Banee Aadama immaa ya'tiyannakum Rusulum minkum yaqussoona 'alaikum Aayaatee famanit taqaa wa aslaha falaa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon )
"O Children of Adam! If Messengers come to you [75] from among you, reciting My signs to you, then whoever fears Allah and reforms [76], for them there is no fear, nor shall they grieve."
By "Messengers" is meant the Holy Prophet ﷺ, as he is the Messenger not only for humans but for all of creation. Hence, the plural form is used out of honour and reverence. Alternatively, the word Messengers can refer to all Prophets of Allah Almighty. In any case, this verse refers to the pledges and assurances of the Day of the Covenant, when Allah took a pledge from all souls regarding the Prophethood of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, just as He took the declaration regarding His own Divinity.
Here, piety refers to developing righteous qualities and doing good deeds, while reform means abstaining from sinful actions. Alternatively, piety can mean commitment to future righteousness, and reform can mean rectifying past sins through compensation and self-correction. Therefore, there is no repetition—rather, the verse covers both future obedience and past correction.
