Transliteration:( Uballighukum Risaalaati Rabbee wa ana lakum naasihun ameen )
"I deliver to you the messages of my Lord, and I am your trusted advisor [164]."
This verse reflects two key qualities of Prophetic character:
Patience in the face of ignorance is the way of the Prophets. Despite being insulted and called foolish, Hazrat Hud (عليه السلام) did not retaliate with anger or abuse. Instead, he maintained a calm and respectful tone, focusing on his duty to guide. This shows that Prophets respond with dignity and wisdom, even when dealing with the insolence of the ignorant.
Mentioning one’s virtues for the sake of da’wah (propagation) and seeking Allah’s pleasure is permissible and praiseworthy, as done by the Prophets. Hazrat Hud described himself as a "trusted advisor", not out of pride, but to build trust and convey sincerity. However, to boast or speak of one’s qualities out of arrogance is strictly forbidden in Islam.
