Quran-2:207 Surah Al-baqarah English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشۡرِي نَفۡسَهُ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱللَّهُ رَءُوفُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ

Transliteration:( Wa minan naasi mai yashree nafsahub tighaaa'a mardaatil laah; wallaahu ra'oofum bil'ibaad )

207. And among the people is he who sells his life in seeking the pleasure of Allah. And Allah is Compassionate to His bondsmen [481]. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

(207) And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allāh. And Allāh is Kind to [His] servants. (Saheen International Translation)

481. This verse was revealed in honour of Suhaib bin Sinaan (on whom be peace) who while migrating from Makkah fell into the hands of the polytheists, but gained his freedom to reach Madina after disclosing to them the whereabouts of his entire possessions. From this we learn that no one can ever reach the high status of a Sahabi (Companion of the Holy prophet as the Holy QUR'AAN endorses the acceptance of their good deeds. How can anyone else obtain this lofty position?
