Transliteration:( Qaala Rabbi fa anzirneee ilaa Yawmi yub'asoon )
He said, 'O my Lord, give me time till the Day of Resurrection' [43].
Shaitaan had prayed to Allah Almighty to grant him life until the completion of the Day of Judgment in order to escape death, because after the completion of this Day, the time for death would have lapsed.
However, this prayer of his was not fully accepted. He was granted life only until the blowing of the first Trumpet. After this, Shaitaan will die along with everyone else. He will remain dead for forty years, and after the second Trumpet is blown, he will be resurrected with everyone else (Tafseer Roohul Bayaan). In this sense, part of his prayer was accepted, and part of it was rejected.
