    58. Reason for its Revelation:

    Once the Holy Prophet passed a group of his Noble Companions who were laughing among themselves. Seeing this he asked them why they were laughing? On hearing these words of reprimand they got scared. This verse was revealed on that occasion (Tafseer Roohul Bayaan).

    From this, we learn that dependence of faith is on hope and fear of Allah Almighty hope for His mercy, and fear from His punishment is incumbent.
