Transliteration:( Iz dakhaloo 'alaihi faqaaloo salaaman qaala innaa minkum wajiloon )
"When they came to him, they said 'peace' [60]. He said, 'We feel afraid of you' [61]."
From this we learn two issues:
Those who come to visit us are considered our guests, whether they were invited or not. Their presence should be honored.
It is Sunnah to greet the one who arrives, not necessarily the one already sitting. This highlights the importance of initiating peace and warmth toward newcomers.
Because their arrival was untimely and they had not accepted food, Hazrat Ebrahim (عليه السلام) became uneasy. At that time, refusal to eat was culturally seen as a sign of hostility.
From this, we learn that experiencing fear is not against the status of prophethood. For example, Hazrat Musa (عليه السلام) also expressed fear when confronting Pharaoh. However, this is a natural fear of harm, not one of submission or obedience.
Prophets never fear anyone in terms of obedience besides Allah Almighty. The Holy Qur’an affirms this principle:
"They have no fear" (Surah Yunus, Verse 62)
