Surah Al-Hijr Ayat 55 Tafsir (Commentry)

  • Ibn Kathir
  • Ala-Madudi

64. This means both of you will remain as old as you are when you will be blessed with the son. This verse does not prove that Hazrat Ebrahim (On whom be peace) had lost hope in the mercy of Allah Almighty. Hazrat Luqman (On whom be peace) had said to his son: "Oh my son, do not commit polytheism." This does not necessarily mean that at that point in time he was indulging in polytheism.
