Transliteration:( Wa lam yakul-lahoo kufuwan ahad (section 1) )
From this, we learn that accepting the Holy Prophet ﷺ as the Knower of the Unseen and HAAZIR (omnipresent) and NAAZIR (omniscient) is not polytheism because in it there is no equality with Allah Almighty.
This is similar to accepting man as SAMEE (one who can hear), BASEER (one who can see), HAYY (one who is alive), and QADIR (one who has power). It should be remembered that this Surah is about the Oneness of Allah Almighty and His Praise, but by stating "say," it has provided a beautiful reflection of Na'at—the Praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, as it hints towards the fact that the believer is the one who believes in all these Attributes of Allah Almighty through your teachings.
By leaving you out and accepting everything else, there is no faith. If the currency notes do not have the government seal, they are useless in the market. Observe, Shaitaan is a monotheist, but he is accursed because he rejected prophethood.
The tafsir of Surah Ikhlas verse 4 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Ikhlas ayat 1 which provides the complete commentary from verse 1 through 4.
(112:4) and none is comparable to Him.”[6]
6. The word kufu as used in the original means an example, a similar thing, the one equal in rank and position. In the matter of marriage, kufu means that the boy and the girl should match each other socially. Thus, the verse means that there is no one in the entire universe, nor ever was, nor ever can be, who is similar to Allah, or equal in rank with Him, or resembling Him in His attributes, works and powers in any degree whatever.
