59. By this is meant that Allah Almighty places part of the day during winter with night which helps to increase the length of the night while during summer. Part of the night is included with the day which makes the day into night. To give non-Muslims governship in the Muslim lands is like making the night into day, while establishing Muslim rule in non Muslim lands is like turning the night into day.
60. He creates believers from non-believers, and non-believers from believers, produces wretched from the dutiful, and dutiful from the wretches. He creates a human being from a sperm, and a sperm from a human being, a birdfrom an egg and egg from a bird.
61.The word 'Hisaab' either means supposition, or counting i.e. whomsoever He wills He gives beyond imagination or enumeration. Says AllahAlmighty: "Allah provides him from where he does not even expect..." (S65: V3) or it could also mean that whomsoever You like you provide so much that he cannot count.
The tafsir of Surah Imran verse 27 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Imran ayat 27 which provides the complete commentary from verse 26 through 27.
(3:27) You cause the night to pass into the day and the day to pass into the night. You bring forth the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living, and You give sustenance to whom You will beyond all reckoning.’[24]
24. Those who disbelieved and disobeyed were seen to be prosperous, whereas the believers, with their devotion and loyalty to God, suffered all the deprivation, persecution and torment to which the Prophet and his followers were subjected around the year 3 A.H. The contrasting states of the two groups of men were the reverse of what would naturally be expected. This raised disturbing questions in people’s minds about the underlying wisdom of this phenomenon. The verse conveys God’s answer.
