    وَلَوۡلَآ أَن ثَبَّتۡنَٰكَ لَقَدۡ كِدتَّ تَرۡكَنُ إِلَيۡهِمۡ شَيۡـٔٗا قَلِيلًا

    Transliteration:( Wa law laaa an sabbatnaaka laqad kitta tarkanu ilaihim shai'an qaleela )

    74. And if We had not kept you firm, it was near that you would have inclined towards them a little [162]. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    (74) And if We had not strengthened you, you would have almost inclined to them a little. (Saheen International Translation)

    162. By this is meant the Holy Prophet ? was not even near of bending to their wishes, because it is made clear after "if we had not" i.e. if We had not kept you firm then you would have been near to bending to their seduction
