Transliteration:( Sunnata man qad arsalnaa qablakamir Rusulinaa wa laa tajidu lisunnatinaa tahweelaa )
"The way of those whom We sent before you from among Our messengers [166], and you will not find any change in Our way [167]."
This refers to the consistent pattern seen in the past: those nations who expelled their Prophets were themselves later expelled or destroyed. They were not given the opportunity to enjoy peace or permanence in their localities, and instead were overtaken by Divine punishment.
This verse emphasizes that no one can alter the system of Allah Almighty. His laws and patterns remain firm. Yes, if Allah wills, He may demonstrate exceptions to manifest His power — but these are from Him alone, not subject to human interference.
Although the people of Makkah forced the Holy Prophet ﷺ to leave, no immediate punishment befell them. Instead, many among them were later guided to Islam — a clear sign of Allah's mercy and the compassion of the Prophet ﷺ.
Examples of Allah altering natural outcomes include the fire not burning Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and the knife not cutting Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him). These events were exceptional miracles — not changes made by others, but by the will of Allah alone.

Please refer to Surah Isra ayat 76 which provides the complete commentary from verse 76 through 77.
(17:77) This has been Our Way with the Messengers whom We sent before you.[90] You will find no change in Our Way.
90. That is, this is how Allah has always dealt with the people who killed or exiled His Messengers. They never survived in the land after this. They were either annihilated by the scourge of Allah or were brought under the sway of an enemy or were subdued by the followers of the Messenger.
