📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Jāthiyah – Verse 7

"Woe to every impostor sinner [11]."

✅ [11] A Warning to the Deceivers

  1. Reason for its Revelation:
This verse was revealed regarding Nadr bin Harith, who would narrate non-Arabic tales to people in an attempt to distract them from listening to the Holy Qur’an.

Although it was revealed concerning Nadr bin Harith, it stands as a universal warning to all those who fabricate excuses or distractions to turn people away from faith and the Holy Qur’an.

Ibn-Kathir
