Quran Quote  :  Allah's severe chastisement awaits those who stray away from Allah's Path, for they had forgotten the Day of Reckoning. - 38:26

    قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّي فِيهِ رَبِّي خَيۡرٞ فَأَعِينُونِي بِقُوَّةٍ أَجۡعَلۡ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ رَدۡمًا

    Transliteration:( Qaala maa makkannee feehi Rabbee khairun fa-a'eenoonee biquwwatin aj'al bainakum wa bainahum radmaa )

    95. He said, "What my Lord has given me is better [212]. Help me with your strength [213], so I can build a strong barrier between you and them [214]." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

    (95) He said, "That in which my Lord has established me is better [than what you offer], but assist me with strength [i.e., manpower]; I will make between you and them a dam. (Saheen International Translation)

    212. This Means Allah Almighty has provided me with all types of provisions and wealth. Therefore, I do not need anything from you.

    213. From this we learn that it is permissible to seek assistance form people, and it is not against the concept, of "And beg You alone for help" (S1:V4). To seek helpers in opposition to Allah Almighty is polytheism. Zul-Qarnain sought the assistance of the people regarding this work. Hazrat Isa (On whom be peace) had said: "Who shall become my helpers towards Allah" (S3: V52). 

    214.This means we would spend the materials and wealth, but physical work must be done by you, either by taking payment or voluntarily. The second meaning is more appropriate. It is apparent that those people were prepared to provide the material as well.

    Ala-Maududi

    (18:95) He answered: “Whatever my Lord has granted me is good enough. But help me with your labour and I will erect a rampart between you and them.[70]

    70. That is, as a ruler it is my duty to protect you from the ravages of your enemies: therefore it is not lawful for me to levy any extra taxes on you for this purpose. The treasury that Allah has placed in my custody suffices for this purpose. You shall, however, have to help me with your manual labor.
