Transliteration:( Laa yaslaahaaa illal ashqaa )
This verse highlights that only the most wicked individuals will be cast into Hell, specifically those who reject the truth despite clear signs and who harm the righteous. The "most wicked" refers to those who have chosen the path of arrogance, disbelief, and evil actions, deliberately opposing the truth even when it is presented to them.
The verse is particularly pointed at individuals like Umayyah bin Khalaf, who witnessed the miracles and divine signs through the Prophet ﷺ but chose to remain a disbeliever. Despite the clear evidence of the truth before him, he rejected faith and remained obstinate in his disbelief. His fate serves as a warning to those who, despite knowledge and understanding, persist in opposition to Allah’s guidance.
Umayyah bin Khalaf is mentioned as the epitome of wretchedness in this verse. His refusal to accept faith, despite having seen the miracles of the Prophet ﷺ, and his cruelty towards Hazrat Bilal, one of the Prophet's closest companions, signify the depth of his wickedness. His actions not only rejected the truth but also directly harmed the righteous, particularly the Saints of Allah. This highlights the severe consequences faced by those who harm the righteous and oppose divine guidance.
In Islam, the enemy of a saint or a righteous person is considered extremely wretched, even if they possess wealth or good deeds. This is because their opposition to the righteous and their rejection of the truth outweighs any external goodness they may possess. The Hadith also mentions that Allah declares war against those who harm His Saints, making it clear that such individuals are among the worst in His sight.
This verse serves as a reminder of the importance of faith, righteousness, and respect for those who are chosen by Allah for special missions, such as the Prophets and Saints. It emphasizes that rejecting faith and harming the righteous leads to a fate of eternal suffering, regardless of any material wealth or apparent good deeds one may have accumulated in their lifetime.
