Transliteration:( Allazee kazzaba wa tawallaa )
This verse refers to those who deliberately reject the truth, whether it is the Islamic laws, the Holy Quran, or the teachings and mission of the Prophet ﷺ. Turning one's back is a metaphor for turning away from the truth, disregarding its importance, and opposing it through one's actions. Such individuals become offenders both in their body and soul, as they reject divine guidance and choose a path of disbelief and disobedience.
1. A Sinful Believer and the Severity of Hell:
A sinful believer is not destined for the severe punishment of Hell because, unlike the disbelievers, their heart does not completely reject the truth. While they may sin, their belief in the truth and the Prophet ﷺ remains intact. The punishment for such individuals is less severe because they retain their faith, even if they have faltered in their actions.
2. The Fate of Minor Children of Infidels:
The minor children of infidels are not held accountable for their parents' disbelief or actions, and therefore, they will not be inhabitants of Hell. Since they have not committed transgressions, either in their heart or actions, they are not considered offenders in the eyes of Allah. This highlights the mercy and justice of Allah, as the children are not punished for the deeds of others.
3. The Importance of Respecting the Quran and the Pious:
This verse also teaches the importance of showing reverence to the Holy Quran and the pious individuals who uphold Allah’s teachings. It is not permissible to sit with your back turned towards the Quran or the righteous, as this action symbolically reflects turning away from the truth. Such disrespect is a form of negligence and can be viewed as an act of rebellion against Allah’s guidance.
