By this, it is meant that after you have received "convincing knowledge," you should proceed to "positive knowledge," as Hazrat Ebrahim (peace be upon him) said to Allah Almighty, "Oh my Lord, show me how You shall give life to the dead." Subsequently, he said, "I like that my heart may be at rest." (S2:260) From this, we learn that there are various degrees of faith, and that ordinary human beings cannot be in the category of faith of a Prophet.
By this, it is meant that the disciples said they would become eyewitnesses of your prophethood while those who will come after them should benefit from their physical testimony. Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) ordered his disciples to keep thirty fasts. Upon completion of this task, he instructed them to offer a prayer (dua), and he himself made a dua, which is described in this verse. Remember, the purpose of eating from the tray, as described in this verse, is not just to eat a nutritious or curative meal.
