Transliteration:( Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul arda zaloolan famshoo fee manaakibihaa wa kuloo mir rizqih; wa ilaihin nushoor )
"He it is Who made the earth subservient [31] to you. So, walk in its tracks and partake [32] of the sustenance He has provided. And to Him is the resurrection [33]."
This verse highlights how Allah made the earth suitable for human life. The earth is neither too hard to be inhabitable nor too soft to be impractical. Allah has created it in a balanced way so humans can live, farm, and build on it. It is a manifestation of Allah’s wisdom and provision.
Allah has provided us with lawful and wholesome sustenance, whether earned through our own work or inherited. Sufi sages emphasize that physical food is for the preservation of the body, while spiritual nourishment feeds the soul. This teaches that eating is essential for life, which is the foundation of all worship. Thus, excessive fasting to the point of harm, or attempting to live without sustenance, is forbidden.
The verse concludes by reminding us that resurrection and accountability lie with Allah. What we consume in this life has consequences in the Hereafter. Therefore, we should eat moderately and give to others, keeping in mind that our actions—including our consumption—will be judged on the Day of Judgment.

(67:15) He it is Who made the earth subservient to you. So traverse in its tracks and partake of the sustenance[23] He has provided. To Him will you be resurrected.[24]
23 That is, this earth has not become subdued for you of its own accord, and the provisions also that you are eating have not become available here by themselves, but Allah has so arranged it by His wisdom and power that your life became possible here and this splendid globe became so peaceful that you are moving about on it with full peace of mind, and it has become such a vast table spread with food that it contains endless and limitless provisions for your sustenance. If you are not lost in heedlessness and look about yourself intelligently, you will find how much wisdom underlies in the making of this earth habitable for you and arranging in it immeasurable stores of provisions for you. 24. That is, while you move about on the earth and eat of what Allah has provided for you here, you should not forget that ultimately you have to appear before God one day.
