Tafsir (Commentary) of It is all-peaceful until the rising of the dawn

This verse refers to the Night of Qadr (Lailatul Qadr), emphasizing the profound peace and protection that envelops the earth during this sacred night. Here is a detailed explanation of its meaning:

Peace and Protection During the Night of Qadr

  1. Protection from Shaitans and Calamities

    • The Night of Qadr is protected from Shaitans, calamities, and divine punishments. Unlike other nights when jinns and Shaitans may roam the earth, this night is safeguarded from their negative influence.
    • Shaitans are more active in the early parts of other nights, causing distractions and harm. But on this blessed night, the presence of angels and sacred souls ensures that peace prevails.
  2. Blessings of the Pious Sages

    • The existence of pious sages on earth plays a crucial role in the peace of the night. Their presence contributes to the removal of Shaitans and averts divine punishments from descending upon the earth.
    • Their blessings help create a serene and protected atmosphere, allowing the angels and sacred souls to descend and carry out their duties.
  3. Mercy and Blessings Until Dawn

    • During the last portion of the night, mercy and divine blessings are abundant. This part of the night is crucial, as it is when the angels are most active in spreading peace and offering prayers for forgiveness.
    • The entire night is filled with divine tranquility, culminating in peace that lasts until dawn.

Key Takeaways:

  • Lailatul Qadr is a night of complete peace, divine protection, and blessings.
  • The presence of angels and pious souls ensures the removal of Shaitans and the avoidance of calamities.
  • Mercy and protection continue throughout the night, lasting until the rise of dawn.

This verse highlights the sacredness of the Night of Qadr, making it a time for believers to seek divine mercy, protection, and peace, free from the harms of Shaitans and worldly calamities.
