Transliteration:( Wa laqad sabbahahum bukratan 'azaabun mustaqirr )
"And certainly, early in the morning a lasting punishment [52] overtook them."
This verse reveals that the punishment which came upon the people of Lut (A.S.) was not just a worldly destruction—it extended beyond, linking to the torment of the grave and eventually to the punishment of the Hereafter. This layered nature of punishment emphasizes its permanence and severity.
It also serves as proof of the grave's punishment, affirming that divine wrath does not end with death for the disbelievers—it continues eternally unless one turns to Allah.
