Transliteration:( Wa Yawma yunaadeehim fa yaqoolu maazaaa ajabtumul mursaleen )
"And the Day when He will call them, He will say, 'What answer did you give to the Messengers?' [165]"
This verse presents the second major question that will be asked on the Day of Judgment.
The first question was related to Tawheed (Oneness of Allah).
This second question is related to Prophethood—highlighting that both belief in Allah and His Messengers are essential pillars of faith.
The plural “Messengers” is used to indicate that this question will be directed to the followers of all Prophets—each nation will be asked about how they responded to the Messenger sent to them.
From this we learn that disbelievers will be punished not only for polytheism, but also for rejecting or opposing the Prophets. This underscores the centrality of belief in all Messengers in the divine framework of accountability.
