Transliteration:( Wa futiha tis samaa-u fakaanat abwaaba )
"And the heaven shall be opened up, converted as doors."
(Kanzul Imaan Translation)
Countless Doors in the Heavens: The heavens are described as having countless doors. Some of these doors are special and some are common, each serving a unique purpose.
Special Doors for Individuals:
Each person has a specific door through which their sustenance descends and their deeds ascend. This door remains closed upon their death.
The Holy Prophet ﷺ had a special door to enter the heavens on the Night of Me'raaj. This door was opened by Hazrat Jibraeel (peace be upon him), and the guard at the door asked, "Who are you?" This signifies that the Prophet ﷺ entered through a new door.
Common Doors: There are also common doors, such as the Door of Repentance, which remains open at all times but will close just before the Day of Judgment.
Specific Doors on the Day of Judgment: The doors referred to in this verse are special doors that will be opened on the Day of Judgment. These doors will be where angels descend from, responsible for managing the affairs of the Day of Judgment.
Recognition of the Doors: On this day, people will witness these doors being opened, signaling the commencement of the divine reckoning.
