Transliteration:( Summma inna Rabbaka lillazeena 'amilus sooo'a bijahaalatin summa taaboo mim ba'di zaaalika wa aslahoo inna Rabbaka mim ba'dihaa la Ghafoorur Raheem (section 15) )
119. Indeed, your Lord is for those who commit evil in ignorance [264], then repent afterwards and amend [265]; your Lord is certainly Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[264] This refers to those who commit sinful acts out of ignorance or forgetfulness, not due to deliberate rebellion. Such people may have been unaware that their actions were forbidden, like ordinary believers who slip into error. However, knowingly considering what is unlawful as lawful is a form of disbelief (kufr), and is not excused by ignorance.
[265] True forgiveness from Allah comes to those who feel sincere remorse for their past sins, repent wholeheartedly, and make a firm resolution to avoid repeating them in the future. Repentance (Tawbah) here is not just verbal but includes a real change in behavior.
This verse reassures that Allah, the Most Forgiving and Most Merciful, readily accepts the repentance of His servants who turn back to Him sincerely, no matter their previous shortcomings, provided they truly amend their ways.
