Transliteration:( Wa yaj'aloona lillaahil banaati Subhaanahoo wa lahum maa yashtahoon )
"And they attribute daughters to Allah [114] — Glory be to Him! — and for themselves, they desire what they wish [115]."
The tribes of Khaza'ah and Kananah would claim that the angels are the daughters of Allah Almighty. However, this is logically and theologically flawed.
Firstly, children are of the same genus as the parent, and no part of creation can be from the genus of the Creator. Secondly, children are not possessions, yet Allah is the Owner of all things. If angels were truly daughters of Allah, then they would share in His divinity, whereas the Qur’an repeatedly states they are His obedient servants.
This refers to sons. The purpose here is to highlight the blatant hypocrisy and disrespect of the disbelievers: they wish for sons—viewed as a mark of honour and pride—for themselves, but they attribute daughters—whom they regarded as inferior—to Allah Almighty.
This reveals their unjust thinking, ignorance, and ill manners, as they apply double standards: choosing the best for themselves while ascribing what they consider lesser to their Creator.
