Transliteration:( Wallaahu anzala minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ahyaa bihil arda ba'da mawtihaa; inna fee zaalika la aayatal liqaw miny yasma'oon (section 8) )
"And Allah sent down water from the sky [135], giving life to the earth after its death. Indeed, in that is a sign for those who listen [136]."
This refers to water sent down from the heavens, either directly from the sky, or from the divine treasures, or through celestial causes.
Although rain originates from the oceans, it is the heat from above that turns water into vapour, which then rises skyward. After condensation, Allah causes it to descend as rain, thereby reviving the dead earth.
The intelligent and spiritually aware derive two profound lessons from rain:
Just as Allah gives life to dead earth through rain, He will revive the dead on the Day of Judgment—through the blow of the Trumpet.
The sermons and words of guidance from the pious bring life to dead hearts, just like rain brings life to barren land. A neglectful heart is like dry earth, while the gaze and guidance of the righteous is like life-giving rain, whose spiritual source flows from Madinatul Munawwarah.
