Transliteration:( Alam yaraw ilat tairi musakhkharaatin fee jawwis samaaa'i maa yumsikuhunna illal laah; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yu'minoon )
172. The correct thing is that the birds should not be made to remain firm in the air, they should fall down, because heavy things are pulled towards the earth, it cannot stay in the air. Hazrat ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said that there is some creation which only stays in the air, lays its eggs there and after its creation stays there and dies there as well, like fish in the water (Roohul Bayaan). Thus, the swallows which were sent upon the Companions of the Elephants i.c. Abraha and his soldiers were from these creatures.
