    📖 Verse 29 (Surah An-Najm)

    “Therefore turn aside from them who turn away from Our Remembrance [33] and who seek only the life of this world [34].”

    ✅ [33] Avoiding the Polytheists
    This verse advises the Prophet ﷺ to turn away from those who ignore the remembrance of Allah. While the Prophet ﷺ never neglected a believer, no matter how sinful, this verse highlights that he should avoid those who stubbornly turn away from the truth and Divine guidance. The message here is for the Prophet ﷺ to detach from those who do not seek the guidance of Allah.

    ✅ [34] The Polytheists' Focus on the World
    The polytheists' only concern is the material world, with no belief in the Hereafter or preparation for it. Their actions are driven purely by worldly desires, and they disregard spiritual growth. As such, their hearts are hardened, and their condition is beyond remedy. The guidance here is not to waste effort trying to change them, as their focus remains solely on the transient world.

    24. Dhikr here may imply the Quran as well as mere admonition; it may also mean that he does not like that even God be mentioned before him.

    25. That is, you should not waste your time in making him understand the truth, for such a person will never be inclined to accept any invitation which is based on Godworship, which calls to objects and values higher than the material benefits of the world, and according to which the real aim of life may be the eternal success and well-being of the Hereafter. Instead of spending your time and energy on such a materialistic and ungodly person, you should devote attention to the people who are inclined to heed the remembrance of Allah and are not involved in the worship of the world.

    (29) So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.
