Transliteration:( Allaa taziru waaziratunw wizra ukhraa )
"That not one bearing a burden, bears the [38] burden of others."
✅ [144] Individual Responsibility for Actions
This verse highlights the principle of individual accountability — no one will bear the burden of another's sin. This was a practice that existed before Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham), where people would sometimes punish family members for the crimes of others, such as killing a son or brother for the crime of another. Hazrat Ibrahim (on whom be peace) forbade this practice, emphasizing that each person is responsible for their own actions. The lesson is clear: individual accountability is fundamental in both this world and the Hereafter.

(53:38) “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another,[37]
37. From this verse three cardinal principles are derived:
(1) That every person is responsible for himself for what he does.
(2) That the responsibility of one man’s act cannot be transferred to another unless he has a share in the commission of the act.
(3) That even if a person wishes he cannot take on himself the responsibility of another man’s act, nor can the actual culprit be let off on the ground that another person is willing to suffer the punishment on his behalf.
