154.Every Prophet will testify about the good and bad deeds of his followers, and the
followers of the Holy Prophet ? will be the testimony of these Prophets, while will the Holy Prophet ? testify for his Ummah - (followers.).
However, there will be a difference in their testimony. The testimony of the Holy Prophet's followers will be verbal and this given by him testimony will be an eyewitness account.
From this, we learn that the Holy Prophet ? is keeping an eye witness account of all deeds, past, present and future. It is for this reason the non-believers will not be in a position to object. Those who will be objecting to the testimony of the followers will ask how are they testifying without being witness to the deeds.
The tafsir of Surah Nisa verse 41 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Nisa ayat 40 which provides the complete commentary from verse 41 through 42.
(4:41) Consider, then, when We shall bring forward witnesses from every community, and will bring you (O Muhammad!) as a witness against them all.[64]
64. The Prophet of each age will stand as a witness before God against his people; he will testify that he conveyed to them the true way of life, and showed them the right outlook and the fundamentals of moral conduct revealed to him by God. The testimony of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) will be to the same effect, and the Qur’an indicates that he will stand as a witness to the period beginning with his advent as a Prophet right through to the Day of Judgement.
