Transliteration:( Liyajziyahumul laahu ahsana maa 'amiloo wa yazeedahum min fadlih; wal laahu yarzuqu mai yashaaa'u bighairi hisaab )
“So that Allah may recompense them for their best works [104] and give them more reward out of His Bounty [105]. And Allah provides whomever He wills without reckoning.”
This verse emphasizes Allah’s justice and generosity:
Allah promises to reward believers based on their best deeds, not just the average of their actions.
Even if their actions vary in quality, He chooses the highest among them as the standard for recompense.
This reflects the divine principle of multiplication of good — a single sincere deed can yield manifold reward when done with faith and devotion.
In addition to rewarding their best deeds, Allah says:
He will give them even more from His own Bounty — a gracious gift, not something earned.
This shows that the ultimate reward is not transactional but is rooted in Allah’s Mercy and Generosity.
The phrase “without reckoning” (بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ) means:
Unlimited, uncountable, and unexpected reward,
It is not bound by human measures or logic.
The verse concludes with a reminder: Allah grants as He wills. His mercy is not limited by our calculations or expectations.
This gives hope to all believers:
That Allah is not merely just, but exceedingly generous.
That the road to His reward is open, and the door of divine grace is wide.

Please refer to Surah Nur ayat 36 which provides the complete commentary from verse 36 through 38.
(24:38) (people who do all this so) that Allah may reward them in accordance with the best that they did; indeed He will bestow upon them more out of His Bounty, for Allah grants whomsoever He wills beyond all measure.[69]
69. Here those characteristics have been described which are necessary for the true perception of Allah’s Absolute Light and for benefiting from His bounties. Allah does not bestow His bounties without reason. He bestows them on the deserving ones alone. He only sees this that the recipient has sincere love for Him, stands in awe of Him, seeks His favors and avoids His wrath; he is not lost in material pursuits but in spite of his worldly engagements keeps his heart warm with God’s remembrance. Such a person does not rest content with low spiritual levels, but actively endeavors to attain the heights towards which his master may guide him. He does not go for the paltry gains of this transitory world, but has his gaze constantly fixed on the everlasting life of the Hereafter. These are the things which determine whether or not a person should be granted the favor to benefit from Allah’s Light. Then, when Allah is pleased to bestow His bounties, He bestows them without measure; and it will be man’s own incapacity if he does not receive them in full.
