Transliteration:( Wa lillaahi yasjudu man fis samaawaati wal ardi taw 'anw wa karhanw wa zilaaluhum bilghuduwwi wal aasaal (make sajda) )
"And to Allah alone prostrates whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly [41], and their shadows too, every morning and evening [42]."
Believers prostrate to Allah Almighty willingly and with joy.
Hypocrites prostrate reluctantly, just to show outward obedience.
This teaches us that performing Salah with laziness is a sign of hypocrisy.
In the morning, a person’s shadow moves toward the west; in the evening, it moves toward the east.
This movement is considered a sign of obedience to Allah Almighty.
Alternatively, it means the shadow itself glorifies Allah, signifying that even lifeless things are in submission.
Hence, a person who does not glorify Allah is lower than his own shadow.
15. And unto Allah falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons.
Allah affirms His might and power, for He has full control over everything, and everything is subservient to Him. Therefore, everything, including the believers, prostrate to Allah willingly, while the disbelievers do so unwillingly,
(and so do their shadows in the mornings), in the beginning of the days,
(and in the afternoons.) towards the end of the days. Allah said in another Ayah,
(Have they not observed things that Allah has created: (how) their shadows incline.) ﴿16:48﴾
(13:15) All that is in the heavens and the earth prostrates itself, whether willingly or by force,[24] before Allah; and so do their shadows in the morning and in the evening.[25]
24. “And to Allah falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth” in the same sense that every creation of His has to obey and submit to His Physical law in every detail. The only difference between the submission of a believer and an unbeliever is that the former submits to it with a willing heart while the latter is forced to do so against his will, for it is absolutely beyond his power to oppose it.
25. “Their shadows” in the sense that they fall to the west in the morning and to the cast in the evening and so on. This shows that they, too, have to submit to some law.
