Transliteration:( Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qabl; kaana aksaruhum mushrikeen )
93. By "earth" is meant the grounds of people inflicted with Divine punishment which were frequented by the Makkans during their travels, while, by "seeing" is meant seeing with the sight deriving lesson, and not by mere movement of the eye.Â
94. Here, by "majority" is meant all. From it we learn that by undertaking a journey to see the ruined buildings of the infidels with the intention of instilling fear of Allah Almighty in one's heart is an act of worship. Likewise, travelling to the mazaars of the saints in order to inculcate in oneself hope and taste for worship, too, is an act of worship. From this there is a proof for undertaking a journey for visiting Holy shrines and Urs gatherings.

(30:42) (O Prophet), say: “Traverse in the earth and see what was the end of those who went before you: most of them associated others with Allah in His Divinity.”[65]
65. That is, “The disastrous war between Byzantium and Iran is not a new thing of its kind. The past history of mankind is full of the accounts of the destruction of great nations. The root cause of the evils that caused the destruction of those nations was shirk which you are today being admonished to avoid.”
