📖 Commentary of Surah As-Saffaat – Verse 18

"Please declare: 'Yes, and then you shall be the disgraced [21] ones.'"

✅ [21] Disgrace Reserved for the Disbelievers

From this, there is a hint that the disgrace of the Day of Judgement is specially set aside for the infidels.

Although sinful believers may be punished, Allah will not disgrace them on that Day.

Disgrace is a punishment tied to denial and rejection, not merely sin—showing Allah’s mercy toward believers, even when they fall short.

Ibn-Kathir

11. That is, Allah can make of you whatever He likes. When He willed, you came into being forthwith; when He wills, you will die at one command by Him; and then whenever He wills, His one command will raise you back to life.

(18) Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
