Transliteration:( Uhshurul lazeena zalamoo wa azwaajahum wa maa kaanoo ya'budoon )
"Drive (O angels) and bring together the wrongdoers and their companions [24], and (those) whom they used to worship [25]."
By wrongdoers, it refers to the infidels, and by their companions, it refers to the devils who had misled them.
Every infidel will be chained with his devil and dragged into Hell.
Alternatively, companion could mean another infidel of the same kind—a polytheist with a polytheist, or an atheist with an atheist—all bound together as they are driven toward punishment.
This does not include Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Uzair (peace be upon him), because the pronoun “what” is used here, which refers to inanimate objects.
From this, we learn that stones, trees, the sun, and the moon—which were worshipped as deities by the disbelievers—will also be sent to Hell, not to be punished, but to serve as a means of punishment for their worshippers.
Thus, there is no objection to the verse in asking what sin the idols committed—they are not punished, but used to punish.

14. “The unjust people” does not only imply those who committed injustices in the world, but as a Quranic term zalamo implies to every such person, who might have adopted the way of rebellion and disobedience against Allah.
15. The word “azwaj” in the original text might also imply their wives, who were their associates in this rebellion, and also all those people who were rebellious and disobedient like them. Moreover it may also mean that the culprits of different categories will be gathered together in separate groups.
[1289]- Those similar to them in evil deeds. Another possible meaning is "their wives."
