Transliteration:( Qad aflaha man zakkaahaa )
In Arabic grammatical terminology, the word "to purify" is derived from "Baabe Tafeel," which signifies excessive purification. This implies that the purification process is continuous and thorough, aimed at ensuring the soul remains engaged in purification.
There are numerous defects of the soul, but they all fall into three primary categories:
Correcting Defective Beliefs
Rectifying Defective Actions
Overcoming Negligence
In contrast to other religions, where purification of the soul often involves cutting off ties with the material world (e.g., becoming a hermit), Islam offers a balanced approach. The Islamic teachings emphasize using the natural powers bestowed by Allah while remaining within the framework of morality and spirituality.
Those who adopt a secluded lifestyle often find themselves trapped in sin rather than achieving true purification. Ignoring the natural powers provided by Allah is, in essence, a defiance of nature.
Islam’s guidance on purifying the soul integrates the material and spiritual aspects of life. By maintaining a balance, individuals can achieve spiritual elevation without neglecting their worldly responsibilities.
