📖 Commentary of Surah Ash-Shu'ara – Verse 100

Then we have no intercessor now [104].

✅ [104] The Absence of Help in the Hereafter

This verse reflects the utter despair of the disbelievers on the Day of Judgment. After realizing the truth too late, they admit they have no intercessor, no one to speak on their behalf or plead their case. It highlights the loss of all support, especially from those they wrongly trusted in the world. Only true belief and righteous deeds can secure intercession, which they now lack entirely.

Ibn-Kathir

70. That is, those whom we regarded as our intercessors in the world and who, we believed, would take us safely into Paradise, are utterly helpless today and of no avail to us.

(100) So now we have no intercessors
