Transliteration:( Maaa aghnaaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yumatta'oon )
"What they will gain only that they enjoyed. [203]"
This verse clarifies that long life spans and abundant wealth do not benefit disbelievers. These worldly enjoyments will neither save them from punishment nor lessen its severity. For a believer, such blessings are beneficial as they increase in good deeds, but for a sinful disbeliever, they become a cause of greater punishment, as they only lead to further sin and arrogance.
