Transliteration:( Falammaa jaaa'as saharatu qaaloo li Fir'awna a'inna lanaa la ajjran in kunnaa nahnul ghaalibeen )
"Then when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh [Firaun], 'Will we receive a reward if we are the victors?'"
The magicians openly ask Pharaoh about personal gain, showing that their intent was not to defend truth, but to earn reward and favour. This highlights their worldly motive, in contrast to Musa’s divine mission, which was based solely on truth and obedience to Allah.

34. Such was the mentality of the supporters of the polytheistic creed of the land, whose only ambition was to win rewards from the king if they won the day.
