Transliteration:( Wa izal maw'oodatu su'ilat )
"And when the female child buried alive is questioned." (Surah Al-Takweer: 8)
7. This verse refers to the accountability of the one who buried a female child alive. On the Day of Judgment, the one who buried her will be sentenced to death. If they were a polytheist, they would face the punishment for both murder and polytheism. This connects to the Hadith that both WAAIDA and MAUOODA (the one who throws herself into the fire and the one thrown into the fire as part of a custom) will be sent to Hell.
The term MAUOODA does not refer to minor daughters but rather to those women who were killed due to cultural practices, such as the historical custom in India where a wife was burned alive with her deceased husband. Therefore, there is no contradiction between the verses and the Hadith.
