⚖️ So Give Time to the Infidels, Only for a Little While (⏳)

📖 Tafseer (Commentary) of Ayah 86:14

🔹 This verse instructed patience in the early years of Islam:

No Immediate Battle – For 14 years after the advent of Islam, no battle was declared against the infidels.
Only Verbal Explanation – The focus remained on preaching and explaining the truth instead of physical conflict.
Later Abrogation – This command was later replaced by the verse of Jihad (holy war) when the time for defensive battles came.

🔹 (اللَّهُ) Allah's plan unfolds gradually, ensuring that the truth prevails at the right time.

Ibn-Kathir

10. That is, I am planning that none of their devices should succeed so that they are utterly defeated in their designs, and the light which they are trying their utmost to put out, spreads far and wide.

(17) So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.[1905]

[1905]- i.e., Do not be in haste for revenge, for you will see what will become of them.
