Transliteration:( Wa lammaa jaaa'ahumul haqqu qaaloo haazaa sihrunw wa innaa bihee kaafiroon )
"And when the Truth (QUR’AAN) came to them, they said: 'This is magic, and we reject it' [47]."
This verse shows that the foundation of disbelief is the rejection of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. The disbelievers first denied the Prophet, then rejected the Qur’an, and ultimately disbelieved in Allah.
Conversely, true faith begins with accepting the Prophet ﷺ. That is why an unbeliever is first asked to recite the Kalima Tayyibah—declaring belief in Allah and His Messenger—before anything else in Islam is taught. This declaration becomes the gateway to Imaan.
