📖 Commentary of Surah Az-Zukhruf – Verse 33

"And if it was not so that all mankind was one [55] community, We would have surely made for those who disbelieve in the Most Affectionate, roofs of silver for their homes and stairs whereon they go up [56]."

✅ [55] Preventing Mass Disbelief Through Restraint

Allah explains that if it were not for the risk that people might be swayed by worldly wealth and turn to disbelief, He would have given the disbelievers immense material prosperity. This indicates that faith is far superior to wealth, and at times, poverty serves as a protection for the believer's heart.

✅ [56] Extravagant Wealth Has No Spiritual Value

Allah could have provided such abundant gold and silver to disbelievers that even their roofs and staircases would be adorned with it. But this would serve no spiritual benefit—only outward beauty and temporary luxury. It teaches us that material luxury is not a measure of divine approval, and true success lies in faith, not in riches.
